The Perinatal Institute creates and supports tools for the assessment of fetal growth and birthweight through defining each pregnancies growth potential through Gestation Related Optimal Weight (GROW) software, including:
GROW 2.0 – fully electronic application with many features including risk assessment throughout pregnancy, auto plotting and velocity assessment. Current version: v2.0.6.3 (released 10/11/2024).
GROW 1.5 – for creation of printed customised charts and audit of birth outcome. Superseded by GROW 2.0 but still in-use in a small number of sites. Current version: v1.5.6.1 (released 05/05/2018).
Perinatal Chart - for creation of printed charts and audit of birth outcomes. This app allows individual users to create charts with the option of not customising for maternal height, weight, ethnicity or parity. Current version: 1.0.6.2 (released 24/08/2023).
Individual centile calculator (ICC) – for day-to-day practice, to calculate estimated fetal weight or birthweight centiles one at a time. Current version: v2.1.6.3 (released 10/11/2024).
Bulk centile calculator (BCC) – a spreadsheet which allows import of large databases to derive fetal or birthweight centiles for audit or research. Current version: 8.0.6.2 (released: 29/08/2022).

Growth rate calculator – calculate fetal weight velocity in serially scanned pregnancies using the projected optimal weight range method (POWR) one at a time. Current version: 2.0.2.1 (released 03/10/2022).
Growth rate calculator for datasets – calculate fetal weight velocity in a database of serially scanned pregnancies. Current version: 9.0.1 (released 03/10/2022).
Standardised clinical outcome review and evaluation (GAP SCORE) – an electronic audit tools which assists clinicians by reviewing ‘near misses’ and identifying themes. Current version: 1.2.9 (released 18/11/2024).
Scan error calculator – a spreadsheet that allows clinicians to calculate the systematic and random error of a scan that is close to birth. Current version: 7.0 (released 05/01/2020).
